So, I came across a quote by anonymous that says:
“Being a good writer is 3% talent, 97% not being distracted by the internet.”
And I was wondering if this could be true. I don’t agree with the stated percentages, because personally I believe that writing takes way more than 3% talent. But what about the other truth? The distractions caused by the internet?
Could it be true?
My take, yes…it is true…for me…it is true.
I have caught myself a lot of times being distracted from writing as I scrolled through the pages of social media websites.
Occasionally, I would delete these apps from my mobile in order to meet a set target.
So, dear writers, do we have an “enemy” disguised as the internet?
If yes, then how do you handle it?
Discipline plays a huge role here if you ask me. But with some of us earning from the activities we do on the internet as well, how them do we handle this distraction?
