Bourne Ultimatum star, Edgar Ramirez has taken it upon himself to advice fans, friends and the world at large, to get the COVID-19 vaccines if they could.
The actor took to his Instagram page to lament on the deaths of loved ones who neglected the administration of the vaccines. He wrote a lengthy plea to all those who can still lay hands on the vaccines and “help save those around you”.
He started with a plea to his followers to read his post, he wrote:
“At times, I feel like it is a nightmare from which I am going to wake up, but I know it is not. That this is as real as the air that at this moment it is difficult for me to breathe.”
The actor, who has been in movies such as Zero Dark Thirty and The Bourne Ultimatum, went on to urge his followers to watch an interview he held with Dr. Anthony Fauci, Chief Medical Advisor to the President of the United States on why it’s important for those “lucky enough to access a vaccine” to get it.
Edgar emotionally wrote:
“My heart can’t just take more pain. I am sad, I am frustrated, I am devastated.
“It’s been weeks and weeks of my family being played, tortured and jerked around by this cruel, treacherous and violent disease which mercilessly ended up killing them all.
“I can’t stand this void in my chest, this metallic taste in my mouth, this crippling headache that doesn’t seem to soothe. These waves of hopelessness that I refuse to let take root in my soul.”
He lost his aunt Lucy and uncle Guillermo to COVID-19. Then, in further devastating news, another of his aunt’s brother-in-laws also died. From all indications, they all died without access to the vaccines.
