Argentina’s head coach, Lionel Scaloni has indicated interest in Lionel Messi to feature in all their world cup qualifiers matches against Venezuela, Brazil and Bolivia.
Speaking on his decision to have the 34-year-old Messi play in his starting match, he said:
“We evaluate match by match and when I’ve spoken to [Messi] he says he’s fine.”
“Obviously he doesn’t have the same minutes in him as he did ahead of the Copa America but everyone knows what I think of him and he will play all three games if he is fit.”, he added.
The six-time Ballon d’Or winner has not featured much since his move to Paris St Germain in the just concluded transfer window.
He started his debut match against Reims as a substitute at the 66th minutes of the match which saw them win the match with 2:0 final score.
Let’s see him again play for his home team after some months of lifting their Copa America trophy.
