Brazil vs Argentina game suspended by Conmebol.

The World Cup qualifiers match between Brazil and Argentina has been suspended amid chaotic scenes after local health officials walked onto the pitch on Sunday in a bid to remove three players who didn’t comply with coronavirus restrictions.

The match was stopped in the 7th minute because of the extraordinary interruption. The referee eventually suspended the game with the score at 0-0.

From all indications, the issue was as a result of Brazil’s health agency saying that three of Argentina’s England-based players should have been in quarantine instead of playing in the match.

As it is now, the match was abandoned and left to be completed on a yet to be announced later date.
