Football icon and former Brazilian international player, Pele has reportedly been hospitalised for the past six days, suffering from an undisclosed health problem.

However, his business manager, Joe Fraga has said that there is not cause for concern.

A few days ago, the 80 year old Pele took to Instagram to confirm that he had not fainted, despite reports saying otherwise. He wrote: “Guys, I didn’t faint and I’m in very good health.

“I went for my routine exams, which I had not been able to do before because of the pandemic. Let them know I don’t play next Sunday!”

From all indications, the old man is gradually checking up himself to avoid any eventuality of any sort.

Edson Arantes do Nascimento, known as Pelé, is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as a forward.

Regarded as one of the greatest players of all time and labelled “the greatest” by FIFA, he was among the most successful and popular sports figures of the 20th century.
