FIFA have opened disciplinary proceedings against the two countries after they suspended their World Cup qualifier game on Sunday.
The match featuring Messi and Neymar came to a halt following an alleged breach of Coronavirus protocols by some Argentine players relating to premier league side.
FIFA started the procedings and investigation into that yesterday. The statement released, reads:
“ Following the analysis of the official match reports related to the FIFA World Cup qualifier match between Brazil and Argentina, FIFA can confirm that disciplinary proceedings have been opened involving both member associations.
“The two teams were asked to provide further information on the facts that led to the suspension of the match, which will be gathered and then thoroughly reviewed by FIFA’s disciplinary committee.”, it concluded.
