Lyndon Dykes’s penalty earned Scotland a crucial 1-0 win in their World Cup qualifiers match against Austria.
Scottish football manger, Steve Clarke ended the criticisms as his side beat Austria 1:0 win to revive their hopes of reaching a first World Cup since 1998.
“Some people in this country (Scotland) don’t believe in this group of players, but I do,” Clarke said. “I love my players. We’re a good team.
“We’ve got a great squad of players and everyone involved wants to do well for the country. We want to get the credit we deserve.”
The high intensity game took another dimension when Che Adams was dragged down in the penalty box by Martin Hinteregger.
Lyndon Dykes was able to kick the ball behind the goalkeeper to secure a point for his home team.
