Having hosted the 2020 Olympics, Japan has had to cancel their involvement with the 2021 Club World Cup.
Japan will no longer host the 2021 Club World Cup due to ongoing problems with coronavirus.
The Japanese Official football Association board were planning on hosting 2021 club world cup, however as it is now, they’ve relinquished the duty now to FIFA to determine as the Coronavirus pandemic is on the increase.
“We had to make a decision at this time,” and the news follows on from the JFA president Kozo Tashima claiming that the federation had to “dip into savings” chief executive Kiyotaka Suhara said.
