American rapper, Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty has pleaded guilty to his failure to register as a sex offender and is going to face a sentence for it.
Kenneth Petty had moved to California in July 2019 but failed register as a sex offender within five working days of moving.
As stated in the New York State’s Sex Offender Registry , an offender must notify the Division of Criminal Justice Services within 10 days of any change of address.
In March 2020, he was arrested over his failure to register as a sex offender. He initially pleaded not guilty, but while arraigned on September 9th, 2021, he pleaded guilty to a charge of failure to register as a sex offender in California.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on Monday, January 24, 2022.
Back in 1995, at the age of 16, Kenneth Petty was convicted of first-degree attempted rape, for which he served prison term, and he is facing this new charge for failing to register that after his move to California.
