Yesterday being the 12th day of September, 2021, Croatian Zdravko Logarusic became the second coaching casualty of 2022 World Cup group-phase qualifying in Africa, following his sack by Zimbabwe.
The 55years old Croatian took the fall as his team take the bottom position in Group G of the world cup qualifiers CAF matches.
A statement released by National Football Association read: “it would like to inform the football fraternity and the nation at large that it has amicably parted ways with senior team coach Zdravko Logarusic”.
We gathered that he was sacked following humiliating defeats of Zimbabwe by Cameroon, Burkina Faso and Mali, which resulted in their early exit from the African Nations Championship and now this world cup qualifiers.
Zdravko Logarusic was hired by Zimbabwe last year having taken outsiders Sudan to the 2018 semi-finals of the African Nations Championship, a two-yearly competition for footballers playing in their country of birth.
