AC Milan are currently sitting at the top of the Seria A table, after winning their match against Spezia at an away game.

Milan’s head manager Stefano Pioli didn’t fail to acknowledge his boys for successfully defeating Spezia , thereby maintaining their first position.

The game was an interesting one, with Maldini scoring the opening goal to give AC Milan a good head start. Eventually, it ended in a 2:1 final score in favour of AC Milan.

Speaking during the post match interview, Pioli told DAZN that “It’s a great victory, because we played well, but not very well, and getting the result anyway shows mental strength.

“This is a young squad, but they believe in themselves, in the team and in our approach to football. We must not lose our humility, but it’s only right they feel able to handle certain pressure and win any game.

“The pressure and expectations have increased around us this season, but we are showing that we can handle that.”

Diaz Maldini, indeed, made a great start today for AC Milan as he scored the first goal for his team amidst Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Tiemoue Bakayoko absence.

Commenting on Maldini’s tremendous start and scoring, Pioli said that: “The important thing about Daniel [Maldini] is that he has talent,” the Milan boss said.

“He has technique, a good vision of the game, but needs to be quicker and more intensive in shaking off his marker.

“[Mehdi] Bourabia was keeping tight to him and all he needed was another couple of metres to get away from his marker and open up those spaces.”, he concluded.
