Lorraine Kelly leads tributes to former TV producer Paul Reizin

Lorraine Kelly 61, has led the tributes to deceased comic star, Paul Reizin, whom she described as a ‘smart as a whip’.

“We are very sad to hear that TV-am reporter Paul Reizin has died, seen here in typical character… playing the part of King James 1st for a Good Morning Britain feature in 1989.” an official statement from a Twitter page of TV-am read.

Responding to the statement, Lorraine wrote: “Sad news. A lovely man. Funny and smart as a whip.”

With Lorraine leading the tributes session, other journalists, friends and fans joined suit. BBC Journalist Nick Owen wrote: “Terrible news. What a character he was – good journalist and hugely entertaining colleague.”

“Very sad news indeed, thoughts with Paul’s family and friends.”another wrote.

“Very sad news Nick. Paul always used to pick up the most interesting stories. Lovely to work with. I feel like my Mum when she started to lose old friends. RIP Paul.”a third person wrote.

Paul Reizin before his death, was a former TV producer and full-time writer. In addition to Date Expectations, he wrote three other novels, Dumping Hilary, Don’t Try this at Home and Fiends Reunited.

He’s survived by his wife and children, with whom he lived in London before his death.
