Phil Butler, comedian and magician is reportedly dead at 51.
His death was announced by his management team as his fellow comic stars pay tribute to the talented star, although the cause of his demise has not been confirmed yet.
Sharing a statement on Twitter, Phil’s agent Chris Davis Management confirmed: “It is with huge sadness we have to announce the passing of our friend and client Phil Butler.
“Our thoughts are with his friends and family. The world is a poorer place without him.”
Phil, had a long and successful career on the circuit and was especially active in the corporate and cruise ship markets.
Following Phil’s untimely death, his fellow comedians have rushed to pay tribute to the talented star.
Paul Kerensa wrote: “I can’t believe that the wonderful Phil Butler is no longer with us. Always fizzing with energy and joy and comedy, comedy ,comedy. We saw him in panto – my kids howled with laughter. At every stand-up gig, he stole the show. Way too young, one of the best. Thanks for the laughs, Phil.’
Benidorm star Asa Eliott tweeted: “Utterly devastated at the news Phil Butler has passed away. One of the funniest people I’ve ever had the privilege of calling my friend.”
Meanwhile, Britain’s Got Talent finalist Danny Posthill said: “So shocked and saddened at the death of Phil Butler. A great comedian who was such a laugh to be around. Sleep well my friend.”

Before his death, Phil Butler remained famous for his trickery in magic. He was known as a great comedian in UK’s comedy clubs. It’s on record that he had made tours round the globe on the verge to crack jokes for his audience.
Phil was good at what he did, having worked with top artists like America’s Got Talent, Paul Zerdin. Phil’s Instagram and Twitter has over 2k followers from around the globe.
