Mark Wahlberg admits he regrets playing porn star at the start of his acting career

Hollywood veteran, Mark Wahlberg has made a shocking revelation, pointing out the fact that he regrets featuring in a movie that brought him to fame.

Mark Wahlberg has featured in over 60 films since leaving music for Hollywood, but said that playing Dirk Diggler in Boogie Nights was a “mistake”

He was earlier known for his pop career, however, featuring in his 1997 movie which centres around a young nightclub dishwasher who becomes a popular star of pornographic films.

Although he skyrocketed to popularity, amidst praises and critisms, the star regrets his role in the movie that brought him popularity.

Speaking at a Q&A in Chicago, the actor confessed, “I just always hope that God is a movie fan and also forgiving because I’ve made some poor choices in my past.”

When he was asked which films in particular he regretted, he responded: “Boogie Nights is up there at the top of the list.”

He later clarified his response to the Q&A in Chicago, saying: “I was sitting in front of a couple of thousand kids talking about and trying to encourage them to come back to their faith, and I was just saying that I just hope he has a sense of humour because I maybe made some decisions that may not be okay with Him.”

“I’ve never been shy about sharing my past and the bad decisions I’ve made and being affiliated with gangs, being incarcerated, so absolutely I think they can identify with me on a personal level, and that’s why I’ve continued to try to do as much as I can to help young people.”

Mark Wahlberg is a renowned Catholic in faith and hopes to teach most young pals growing up the way of Christ.
