American actor Kal Penn comes out as gay, announces engagement to partner of 11 years

American-indian actor Kal Penn has confidental declared himself gay as he plans on settling down with his partner of 11 years.

He revealed the fact that unlike others who were able to find their sexuality earlier, he found his pretty late. He took to his Instagram page to make a public announcement of it.

“I’ve always been very public with everybody I’ve personally interacted with. Whether it’s somebody that I meet at a bar, if Josh and I are out or we’re talking to friends,” Penn said

“I’m really excited to share our relationship with readers. But Josh, my partner, my parents, and my brother, four people who I’m closest to in the family, are fairly quiet. They don’t love attention and shy away from the limelight.”

“I discovered my own sexuality relatively late in life compared to many other people. There’s no timeline on this stuff. People figure their s— out at different times in their lives, so I’m glad I did when I did.”he shared in his memoir “You Can’t Be Serious”.

Penn is presently promoting his book while making plans for his wedding with Josh.

His real name is Kalpen Suresh Modi, while he is known professionally as Kal Penn. He is an American actor and former White House staff member in the Barack Obama administration.

As an actor, Penn is known for his role portraying Lawrence Kutner on the television program House, as well as the character Kumar Patel in the Harold & Kumar film series.
