The former Leipzig striker Timo Werner, a prolific striker during 2019/2020, netting 28 times that season, which drew the attention of the English club Chelsea to sign him,but has really struggled for form since the move to the London club.

Due to the draw down in form, and the signing of Romelu Lukaku to fill the void that was lacking and has struggled for game time this season in comparison to last.

The new manager without wasting time, has already drawn out rules and regulations guiding his reign and has also listed the kind of players he needs. According to rumours, he is to be given 10 million euro during the January transfer window (winter transfer).

The Catalan club also has other options that the Spanish side are assessing, including Manchester United’s Edinson Cavani and Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling.

As reported by MARCA, Barcelona, with new head coach Xavi, are looking for a centre-forward who is currently out of favour at their club, and in need of more minutes.

The Spanish Giant are assessing options for loan deals in the January transfer window, and Timo Werner appears to be on their radar.

The out of favour German international player was previously under the Spanish side’s watchful eye in 2020, before he signed for Chelsea.

Since the arrival of Belgium international Romelu Lukaku, Werner has amassed just 388 minutes in this season’s Premier League; significantly less than last season’s 35 league appearances.

This season, he has been short of minutes, and would love to be in a place where he will get more minutes.
