Oluseun Anikulapo Kuti, popularly known as Seun Kuti, Nigerian musician, singer and the youngest son of the famous Afrobeat pioneer, the legendary Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, has admonished parents to never impose their ‘damaged, spoilt’ ideologies on their children.

According to Seun, most parents are damaged, hence, their children should not be allowed to go through a similar path.

Sharing a photo with his daughter Adara, he wrote:

“We must stop spoiling and betraying the true saints, the pure of heart, our children! Be more like them and don’t make them like you, you are damaged!

“We need to train our kids in such a way that they would be God fearing, loving ones neighbour and caring for the less privileged, not been selfish, and showcasing an I don’t care attitude towards things.

“Lastly children are a gift from God, and should be trained in a way that pleases God.”

The 38 years old singer, songwriter and saxophonist added that “parents should become more like their kids and not ‘betray the true saints.”

Seun Kuti has won many awards and featured in many entertainment events. In 2014, he was given an honorary invitation to perform live for the first time at the Industry Nite.

Five years later, in 2019, Kuti was a featured guest on 85 to Africa.
