German tactician, Tuchel joined Chelsea during the the winter transfer as their manager, taking over from sacked club legend, Frank Lampard.
Since the takeover, Tuchel has been very impressive for the club, taking them from 9th in the table to 4th, reaching FA cup final but got beaten by Leicester city with a thunderous outside eighteen shot from Youri Tieleman, and also the UEFA champions league final which they won against their rival Manchester city.
There are speculations over one of their best players Antonio Rudigers’s contract with Chelsea expiring in the summer and with interest from the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
Following these speculations, Tuchel has in his humble opinion, persuaded his fellow compatriot to stay back with Chelsea.
After their outstanding win against Leicester City on Saturday, where they outplayed and outclassed Leicester City, he lavished lots of praises on Antonio Rudiger saying that he and the club are planning on reaching an agreement with the German to keep him.
“Sincerely speaking since the first day he has been excellent and I hope it stays like that, and also he stays with the club,” Tuchel said about Antonio Rudigers.
“Defensively we have been excellent, and the defenders deserve the accolade, because they have been outstanding,” he continued.
Speaking further, Tuchel added that: “Everyone wants him to both the fans and players, yes I know he knows that and knows we need him,yes there’s always a delay in such things exactly they is a delay.
“It’s happening this days but am happy it doesn’t affect his mentality and zeal, it doesn’t affect his quality, it doesn’t affect his behaviour.
“I probably know he’s fully committed to Chelsea right now and I am absolutely sure he feels the trust, respect and love from the club and spectators.
“I sincerely think he knows what he has here,a great club,a great competition that makes him better better everyday and a strong player.
“I will honestly say we should have patience, and probably a happy ending that will be a good news to the board, the staffs and players and surely the fans at large,” he concluded.
