Peter Michael Davidson, popularly known as Pete Davidson, an American comedian and actor, who left Instagram for over four years due to some personal reasons, has finally rejoined the media platform.
The comedian who was also popular for his Saturday Night Live comic, 28, set up a new profile complete with a verified blue tick on Wednesday just days after Kanye West, 44, took aim at the star in a number of outbursts as his bitter love feud with Kim Kardashian rumbles on.
Pete, who is dating the rapper’s estranged wife Kim Kardashian sat back and watched as Ye uploaded a string of insulting posts to his own Instagram account over the weekend, including one labelling “Skete” a “D***head”.
The Gold Digger rapper went on to blast the star’s behaviour and insisted he “would never meet” Kanye and Kim’s four kids, North, eight, Saint, six, Chicago, four, and two-year-old Psalm.
And Ye later told his fans not to “do anything physical” towards the comedian in a now-deleted post after Kim had allegedly told him he was putting Pete’s well-being in danger with his rants.
But now Pete is back and ready to share as he created his brand spanking new account after first quitting the platform in the summer of 2018.
According to him he cited mental health reasons at the time for his decision to disconnect from the site.
The popular comedian said at the time: “No there’s nothing wrong. No nothing happened. No there’s nothing cryptic about anything. I just don’t wanna be on Instagram anymore. Or on any social media platform.
“The internet is an evil place and it doesn’t make me feel good. Why should I spend any time on negative energy when my real life is f***ing lit.
“The fact that I even have to say this proves my point. I love you all and I’m sure I’ll be back at some point. Your neighborhood goon, Pete.”
It isn’t the first time Pete has returned to the site though after he came back for a short stint in December 2018 in which he shared a concerning note saying he didn’t “want to be on this earth anymore”.
“I’m doing my best to stay here for you but I actually don’t know how much longer i can last. all I’ve ever tried to do was help people. just remember I told you so.”
He went on to actually praise Kim’s ex Kanye for his “bravery” in discussing mental health before once again leaving the platform.
